Each participant may enter one ready to hang painting. The cost is $10 per person. All participants must be a member of and register through The Watercolor Society of Indiana. Deadline to enter is Saturday, September 12, 2026.
Delivery Dates You may deliver your paintings directly to the library between 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm on Saturday, September 19. Since this is a “Regional Exhibit”, Area Reps are not required to travel across the state to deliver from their regions. However, you are encouraged to work with other artists in your part of the state if you or if they are unable to drive to Ft Wayne.
Art Requirements
All paintings executed and presented in accordance with the rules will be exhibited. Works not adhering to the following specifications will not be exhibited and entry fees will not be refunded.
Please read carefully:
• This is NOT a Juried Exhibit. All skill levels are accepted. 2026 WSI Membership required.
• All current WSI members may register one watercolor painting for this exhibition.
• A painting exhibited in prior juried and membership shows is eligible if it adheres to these rules.
• All paintings must be the original work of the artist. No copies or prints of paintings or published photographs will be accepted.
• At least seventy percent (70%) of the entry must be watercolor paint or watercolor gouache paint. The balance of the entry may be acrylic, acrylic gouache, pastel, charcoal, ink and/or collage (e.g., photos, computer art, fabric, metal foil, etc.).
• Flexibility in surface is allowed (canvas, watercolor board, wood, etc.). All edges must be framed or finished, with no visible staples, nails, or hardware. If submitting an unframed canvas, the outer edges must be painted.
• All work must be ready to hang with wire applied to the upper third or fourth of the frame. No sawtooth or screw-eye hangers will be accepted. Refer to this diagram.
• The painting and frame must have a professional appearance and be free from damage or blemishes. Ensure the painting is clean, ready to hang and in a stable condition.
• A label with the artist’s name, painting title & painting price must be attached to the back side. Please print and use the attached label.
• Title and price may not be changed after the entry form has been submitted. Please ensure the title and price on your painting label match your entry form. If there is a discrepancy between the form and the label, the information on the entry form will be used.
• No paintings may be removed before the end of the show.
• By participating in the show, artists give WSI and Jeffrey R. Krull Gallery permission to photograph and/or video tape their work to be used for educational and publicity purposes online and social media sites.
Artwork may be for sale, but it is not required. WSI will handle all sales. The artist receives 70% commission. Please do not contact the library regarding sales.
Art Images
Images are not required but may be used in online and printed promotional material. Upload the image with the online registration form. If using an iPhone to photograph, turn off the live feature as it will not upload to the website.

Risk
The Watercolor Society of Indiana and the gallery will exercise diligent and reasonable care, but neither WSI nor Allen County Public Library shall be responsible for loss or damage to any painting. By participating in the show, the artist assumes all risks and agrees to the rules and conditions of this prospectus. We recommend getting insurance on your painting if you have concerns.
Pick Up Dates
Please pick up your paintings between 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm on Saturday November 7. A photo ID is required. If your painting is sold the buyer has permission to pick it up. Unclaimed paintings become WSI property.
Opening Reception
Saturday, September 26, from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. Everyone is encouraged to attend the free Opening Reception at the Jeffrey R. Krull Gallery, 900 Library Plaza, Fort Wayne, IN 46802. The Gallery is located inside the West entrance at the Main Library and the reception is open to the public.
Visiting the Show – Gallery Hours the Gallery is open anytime the library is open.
